The popular YouTube streamer hadn’t even heard of the Black Lion until a follower started messaging him about it, repeatedly.

Simon presents two alternatives in his Black Lion repertoire: one for the faint-hearted, one not for the faint-hearted.

⬜ Option 1 is The Risky Lion – Simon’s recommendation for fast, aggressive chess right from move one.

⬜ Option 2 is The Tame Lion – Simon’s calmer alternative for safer games, but you will still be on the prowl.

How could he have not heard of this opening? Surely it must be rubbish if a Grandmaster had never heard of it?

So Simon looked into it and found his follower was right: this was a brilliant opening that has gone completely under the radar.
