Want To Start Every Blitz Game With a Vise-Like
Grip On The Dark Squares and
A Kingside Attack?

If you like the sound of that, then enter Secret Blitz Weapons: 1.e4 — an all-in-one repertoire for White designed to give you a practical advantage especially in fast time controls.

Its dark-squared, space-gaining ambitions allows you to attack the flanks and switch between targets with ease — while its surprising maneuvers keep Black guessing.

The repertoire is brought to you by GM Aram Hakobyan.

He’s a peak-2626-rated grandmaster from Armenia and a former World Youth Chess Champion. He’s also one of the fastest chess minds today, with his bullet and blitz ratings crossing the 3000-mark multiple times.

Hakobyan helped Webster University clinch the 2023 President’s Cup — which brought together the “best of the best” in college chess.

He also helped the team win the 2023 US Collegiate Blitz and Rapid Chess Championships — sweeping the latter with a perfect 9/9 score!

In the online arena, Hakobyan qualified and competed alongside the world’s top 100 players in the 2022 Chess.com Global Championship.

To get to such levels of speed chess success, you need the right kind of repertoire.

One that’s sharp and challenges Black to think more than they’d like… while keeping your game simple with clear, repeatable plans.

And for his first-ever Chessable course, Hakobyan serves you…

A 1.e4 Repertoire That Checks Both Boxes!

The core strategy of the repertoire is to seize the dark squares with a vise-like grip — especially c3, d4, and e5. Then build on that space advantage to start a kingside attack!

But the plan is carried out with surprising maneuvers which either forces an error from Black, or goads them into second-guessing and wasting precious seconds.

For example:

Against 1…e5, you’ll enter the Four Knights Variation, and catch the Black king in the center with the unusual Nd5 followed c3- d4.

Secret Blitz 1.e4 vs 1…e5
With d2-d4 coming up, the center will open
faster than Black can castle to safety!

Next, you’ll disrupt Black’s development in the …d6-Sicilian with the Moscow Variation (3.Bb5+). By planting your pawn on e5 and lifting your rook to d3, you can invade the kingside without risking counterplay.

Secret Blitz Weapons Moscow vs Sicilian
The maneuver Rc1-c3-d3 secures the source of
your space advantage. So you can redirect
your firepower to the flank!

The same e5-spearhead appears against the …e6-Sicilian. This time, it’s complemented by 4.Qxd4. So you can castle queenside as quickly as possible, and take aim at the weakest point in Black’s position.

Secret Blitz Weapons vs e6 Sicilian
Against the e6-Sicilian, the e5-pawn not only kicks
the black king’s main defender. It also exerts
positional pressure on d6!

You’ll meet the Caro-Kann with the Advance Variation (3.e5) and bring your bishop to d4… not only cementing your space advantage but also preserving your extra pawn!

Secret Blitz Weapons vs Caro-Kann
While Black is still stuck in the opening — trying
to regain the pawn — you rapidly develop your
pieces and attack in the middlegame.

And against the French Defense, you’ll exchange in the center (3.exd5). Then rally your pieces behind the e5-knight, preparing that decisive breakthrough!

Secret Blitz Weapons vs French Defense
From here, the French Defense player must give
up an exchange on e5, or give you a strategically
won game with your e5-knight.

Hakobyan’s blitz repertoire also takes on the Scandinavian, Alekhine, Modern Defense, and other sidelines with the same formula. Take over the dark squares in the center, then use the space advantage to hit Black where it hurts!
