We are happy to inform you that GM Luis Supi has completed his Italian Game repertoire with the amazing course My Italian – Part 2. Additionally, together with the release of this course, the author has updated his highly successful My Italian – Part 1.

The current database is one of the most amazing Modern Chess courses. The course provides you with a practical repertoire for White after 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.d3

We remind you that all the setups based on …Bc5 are dealt with in Part 1. Even though the course itself is relatively short, it provides tremendous practical value. Basically, you can start employing the repertoire after 1 day of work!

Why the course is relatively short and even some minor options for Black are not covered?

Most of the suggestions that you will find here are practically unexplored. Therefore, instead of covering numerous games, GM Supi mainly teaches you how to think in the arising positions. Some of the concepts that he explains are so deep that even most of the grandmasters are completely unaware of them! After studying (and understanding) the material, you will be able to play the line in a very intuitive way. Therefore, if by chance you face some minor move that is not covered in the course, you will know how to react!

Just to give you an idea of the author’s approach, we will provide an interesting example. One of the lines covered in the course arises after 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.d3 d5 5.exd5 Nxd5 6.a4!?

Here is what GM Luis Supi has to say about this rare idea, “Super rare option! While it’s not exactly a novelty,  having been played in 5 games, it’s still almost new. And look, this is one of the most interesting directions for White at the moment. In my opinion, the pressure is on Black here. I see many ways for Black to go wrong and very few paths to an easy game. What’s the idea behind White’s move? First, we gain space on the queenside, which is crucial in these positions. Black often looks to castle long or play Nb6 at some point, and in both scenarios, a pawn on a5  becomes a major annoyance. It’s also important to note that this move is currently off most players’ radar. Yes, there are a few games, but they are rare. The “surprise factor” is in our hands. I like this idea almost as much as 0-0 immediately, but I’ve chosen to make it my “second” option because I  find the positions after 0-0 easier to remember and understand. But don’t get me wrong—this is a super dangerous and interesting try, and I’m ready to play it at a moment’s notice! I’ve simply chosen to use it as my  “second” weapon because I find 0-0 even more promising (and simpler), but this could easily be your primary weapon against this line. Let’s first address  two key questions before moving on to the more critical tests for Black.”

Besides, the theoretical part, the course also includes 10 model games, 7 interactive tests, a Memory Booster, and a Video Version (2h and 5min).

UPDATE OF PART 1

Together with publishing the current database, GM Luis Supi has also updated the course My Italian – Part 1. The update itself is almost a new course since it consists of 5 chapters based on 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.d3 Nf6 5.a4!?

Here is how GM Luis Supi explains the idea behind the advance of the a-pawn, “This move has gained a lot of popularity in the last two years and is frequently played by top players (like Nepomniachtchi, for example). What’s the point of it? Well, do you remember that in our database, this pawn is often placed on a4, but the knight was always on c3? The main idea is to maintain flexibility with the knight, meaning you can still place it on c3,  but you don’t HAVE to anymore. This is very much in the spirit of the  Italian: always flexible! This move also has another advantage: it looks very  provocative, and some players, in an attempt to punish our move order, might  find themselves in trouble because there’s no actual punishment.”
